A scenic hike up through the Grand Etang rainforest reserve to the top of Mt Qua Qua, which involves intermittent long uphill stretches.
Enjoy sweeping views over the mountains and the coast.
A demanding and sometimes muddy hike that requires a good level of fitness but will leave you feeling that you have achieved something.
For this trip you should take:
- Light walking shoes
- Maybe a hat (there is not tree cover everywhere)
- Drinks and something to carry them in
- Long trousers can be sensible (some ‘bush’ will try to scratch you).
