Tour guide

This is a beautiful walk through lush rainforest to Grenada’s unspoiled Seven Sisters Waterfall.

In the rainy season the path can get very muddy, so do not come in your best clothes! If rainfall has been too heavy, the path may become inaccessible in some parts and scheduled hikes may have to be postponed until conditions have improved.

It is not a difficult walk, but there will be some careful balancing required as you walk along and cross a stream on rounded stepping stones.

You will need to be at least averagely fit and to have reasonable balancing ability.

Some guests think this is a Sunday afternoon stroll: others find it an arduous and slippery route march. It all depends on your walking experience. The truth is somewhere in between!

Tour Overview

The first part of the tour takes you through cool and humid rainforest terrain. Hike down a series of steps, which can be a bit steep or muddy in some places. Tall bamboo and lush vegetation flank the path and if you keep your eyes peeled, you may spot the occasional hummingbird in the canopy of the trees.

Seven Sisters Waterfall

Once you make it down the path you reach Seven Sisters Waterfall. Now is a good time for relaxing, taking in the serene scenery and nibbling on some snacks (we recommend you bring some along). You've got plenty of time to take a dip in the cool waters and enjoy a refreshing swim in the lagoon!

Consider before the tour

  • Bring cameras, but not your best and most expensive one
  • You sometimes need both hands when walking and you'll be crossing a little river
  • There is time to bathe in the pools under both waterfalls (but no ‘changing room’) - pack your towel and wear your swim gear
  • Casual clothing is the rule, good walking shoes
  • Bring insect repellent
  • We recommend you pack some snacks and a bottle of water
